I love the Gospel of John. The opening verses of chapter one are once poetic and sublime, simple yet profound:
 In the beginning was the World, and the world was with God, and the world was God... In him was life; and the life was the light of men. To each of us on his journey home, John's powerful witnessof the saviour remains a guide as we come to realise the reality of it for ourselves. We held his glory, the glory as of the Only Begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth
